Senior project proposal

Senior project proposal

SENIOR PROJECT

It's been a while since I posted last but this is now my last quarter at SCAD before i graduate. This is the time when we go off on our own and create a senior project. I will be posting my proposal that i will be presenting soon. But for a little teaser i will be addressing the following issue:

The subject of this study is the millions of people worldwide that will undergo treatment for or live with a chronic condition and more specifically the growing number of children, adolescents, and young adults that will have to cope with this while trying to lead normal lives.

I propose the creation of 3 sections of this concept.
First it would include the actual product line which includes a monitoring device for the patient as well as gear to be able to have their healthcare needs at their disposal at all times. Next it would include a network via the internet to create a community of certified physicians and like people including family and caregivers. It would be a place to gain knowledge and create a support system. Finally there would be the personal network that would help the patient with monitoring and gaining independence in their treatment and monitoring. This includes a Smartphone alert system and app database all linked into their monitoring device and personal gear.

My proposal will be up soon!

The bottom watch has a removable watch that comes off the band and can be put in this caribiner (above)

These are the final appearance models, made in CAD (rihno) then printed by FDM (rapid prototype 3D printer), finished and painted by hand. Straps were laser cut and hand stitched. The display was hand made from birch wood, laser cut, hand finished, stained, and assembled. This project was allot of hard work but was worth all of it in the end. thank you to all who helped Team Black! A special thanks to my partner Gianna Grace (metals and jewelry major) who i got teamed up with.
